Lead Welder GRN - 2nd Shift

Primary Responsibilities

 

• Lead production team, mentor and motivate team members, ensuring individual and group goals are achieved in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Monitor and achieve daily production.
• Ensure manufacturing processes are being followed as designed by conducting standard work audits.
• Interface with other functions such as quality assurance, manufacturing engineering, and quality control to solve manufacturing problems utilizing 5 Why, fishbone and other problem solving tools.
• Facilitate Tier 1 employee meetings, disseminating pertinent and timely information.
• Maintain and boost production efficiency, initiate and implement continuous improvement.
• Train team members, and work with manufacturing engineer to implement new processes.

 

Qualifications

 

• Read and understand drawings, prints (both metric and standard), Bill of Materials and Production Order Travelers. 
• Understand basic math (including fractions and decimals.)
• Must be able to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with other people
