This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren three times per week, at minimum.

Role

This role is part of the Innovation and Business Development team within the Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV Organization. As the Lead Business Intelligence Developer at General Motors, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data analytics, visualization, and business intelligence tools to support our global manufacturing operations. You will work closely with stakeholders to design and deliver solutions that optimize production processes and drive cost savings. Your expertise in SQL, Power BI, data modeling, and ETL processes will be essential in transforming complex data into actionable insights.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and implement data analytics solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality control, and supply chain management.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable analytics solutions.

• Design and maintain data pipelines and workflows, ensuring data integrity and availability.

• Utilize statistical methods and machine learning techniques to extract insights from complex data sets.

• Build and deploy predictive models to support proactive decision-making and process optimization.

• Work closely with IT and operational teams to integrate analytics solutions into existing systems and processes.

• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and manufacturing technologies.

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

• 3 years or more of proven experience in data analytics, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R for data analysis and manipulation.

• Demonstrates advanced expertise in utilizing data visualization tools, such as Power BI.

• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and present findings to stakeholders.

• Master's degree in related field.

• Experience in developing and deploying predictive models to optimize manufacturing operations.

• Proven track record of delivering impactful insights and driving business decisions through data-driven approaches.
