Job Description Summary

The Payroll & Onboarding Manager will perform high-level, multi-faceted, administrative, logistical and other support and coordination duties for the Director. The Payroll & Onboarding Manager will manage and process payroll for 2-3 Divisions in the Department of Medicine for weekly and monthly faculty, staff, postdoctoral researcher/fellows, work-study/student workers, and temporary/extra employees. The Payroll & Onboarding Manager will prepare, maintain, and manage the units’ salary/effort schedules for all monthly and weekly paid employees in collaboration with grants managers, both internal and external, to collect payroll funding support sources and documentation, as well as obtain from the division's financial analyst the discretionary account funding sources. In this role the Payroll & Onboarding Manager will provide financial analytics and auditing support for the university payroll functions across the assigned divisions. This role will manage the new hire onboarding processes, including meet with new employees for administrative orientation, setup new employees in the payroll system, communicate mandatory training requirements, submit IT access requests, etc.
