About the role
- Serve as an integral member of the Radiology team, supporting both patients and departmental operations to ensure efficient workflow and safe patient care.
- Perform a wide range of services requiring: Excellent communication and customer service skills, Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, Strong attention to detail
- Prioritize multiple daily tasks in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment.
- Remain adaptable and flexible within a strong team structure.
- Support pre- and post-procedure/exam setup and related tasks.
- Assist with clerical duties as needed.
- Manage supplies through stocking and inventory management.
- Turn over rooms and disinfect departmental areas and equipment.
- Utilize electronic applications to support scheduling, transport coordination, documentation, Image review, Communication
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by leadership, including the training of new employees.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Communicate professionally with staff, patients, and visitors across the campus.
Perform procedural duties, including:
- Sterile procedure setup
- Adherence to Universal Protocol
- Patient identification verification
- Specimen and medication labeling
- Specimen collection and handling
Assist with:
- Patient transport and safe patient transfer techniques
- Exam setup and patient positioning
Fulfill department-specific responsibilities, including:
- Required education and knowledge of safety practices involving equipment and isolation precautions
- Operation and assistance with power injectors
- Removal of IVs and application/removal of leads, cuffs, and oxygen
- Obtaining and uploading prior outside imaging and reports
- Assistance with tracking studies
High School Graduate or G.E.D Equivalent
Additional Qualifications
- Patient care experience preferred.
- Physically able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
- Requires upper and lower physical strength to be able to manage the pushing and pulling of stretchers with and without patients occupying them.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, efficient, and be able to multitask to prioritize in a fast paced environment.
- Adapts to unpredictable situations.
- Must have a strong work ethic and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be comfortable with electronic applications and technical office equipment (printers, fax machine, copiers, telephone systems).
License or Certification
Successful completion of a BLS course within the first 6 months of employment.
