About the role
Salary Range: $157,700 to $185,000
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for the oversight of select services in airport operations. Emphasis is focused on driving safety and high operational performance, customer experience, and financial results, specifically in the below the wing and above the wing operations.
- Evaluate daily staffing and ensures resources are aligned for optimum performance. Anticipate future staffing needs and ensure proactive recruiting measures are implemented.
- Full responsibility for profit and loss statement for applicable groups/divisions/stations.
- Execute daily, weekly and monthly operational plans consistent with customer expectations.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements to the various processes and communicate them to the executive team and customer.
- Ensure adherence to airport and aircraft security regulations and compliance with all government regulatory requirements.
- Build effective partnerships with internal departments, outside vendors, contractors, business partners, communities and other business entities. Interacts regularly with executive team to ensure operational priorities are aligned with total company direction.
- Promotes team building initiatives and performs coaching/mentoring activities to develop and motivate team members.
- Promotes Unifi policy on Equal Employment Opportunity, Anti-Harassment and diversity initiatives.
- Must be willing and able to travel. Weekly travel required.
- Participates in employee relations investigations when complaints are brought forth and resolves issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
Education:
- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in management or related field.
Experience:
- Ten+ years in a leadership position.
- Supervisory Experience required
- Experience in airline leadership.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
Work Schedule:
- You will need to have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. We operate in a shift bid environment.
- Must be willing and able to travel.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, printer, and phone.
- May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
