This role is hybrid requiring 2 days in office per week in our San Francisco or New York City offices. 

About the Team:

The Business Intelligence team is responsible for leading company-wide business insights, while creating an environment of trusted resources that lead to better data-driven decisions. The team focuses on enterprise-level reporting and visualizations, analyzing business performance, and driving strategic recommendations. Our goal is to empower our end-users to make informed business decisions by providing access to trusted and reliable data. 

About the Role:

Taskrabbit is seeking a Senior Manager of Business Intelligence to lead a high-performing team focused on transforming data into actionable insights across the business. In this role, you will shape the analytical roadmap, identify key growth and optimization opportunities, and influence initiatives across the company. You will partner closely with our Regional Leadership, Marketing, Finance, Taskers Operations, Partnerships, and Customer Service teams to drive the adoption of scalable data models, reporting solutions, and actionable insights. The ideal candidate has a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills.

What You'll Work On:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and innovation
  • Partner with senior leadership to frame complex business problems, develop OKRs, and guide data-informed decision-making
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Regional Leadership, Marketing, Finance, Taskers Operations, Partnerships, and Customer Service to build dedicated data models and reporting that support critical business processes and goals
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling visualizations and narratives for executive audiences (primarily in Sigma)
  • Establish and promote best practices, standards, and design principles across the team
  • Create a strategic roadmap for the business intelligence team and guide the team toward implementation
  • Oversee the development and automation of scalable reporting frameworks to improve operational efficiency and strategic visibility
  • Champion data governance and integrity by working closely with the engineering, product, and finance teams to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and consistency of data assets, while managing business definitions and technical logic
  • Partner closely with Data Leaders, including Data Engineering and Data Science, to improve foundational data models that support analytics and reporting, and establish best practice procedures in creating data models within our warehouse and visualization tools 
  • Stay current with emerging BI trends and technologies, and continuously evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and practices to improve the company’s analytics capabilities

Your Areas of Expertise:

  • A BS/MS in economics, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent analytical experience
  • 10+ years of experience using analytics to drive key business decisions across business intelligence, strategy and analytics, marketing, operations, and/or finance
  • Significant experience building data visualizations to inform business decisions (e.g., Sigma, Tableau, etc.)
  • Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and database management (eg., dbt, FiveTran, SQL)
