The Opportunity
This position supports the Quality Manager in developing, implementing, administering and improving Ulteig’s Quality Management System (QMS). The successful candidate will leverage Process Design, Process Mapping, Business and Technical Process Documentation, Quality Management, Lean Six Sigma and Change Management expertise to deliver organizational value by leading the creation and implementation of innovative and robust business processes and tools that enable sustainable growth, enhance Ulteig’s culture of Quality, elevate Ulteig’s reputation for delivering value-differentiating Quality in the industry and deliver Operational Excellence to the organization. This role reports to the Quality Manager under limited supervision and has no direct reports.
What You’ll Do
- In partnership with organizational leaders and processes owners, lead and facilitate the design, mapping and documentation of Ulteig’s business and technical processes.
- Actively provide Quality-related expertise to all functional teams within Business Operations to assist in the successful execution of team and department initiatives.
- Author new business and technical process procedures, work instructions, forms and templates.
- Lead the oversight and maintenance of Ulteig’s QMS document management program.
- Perform internal quality audits to monitor the organization’s adherence to and effectiveness of Ulteig’s Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) processes and tools.
- Create and host Quality-related training events and attend internal stakeholder meetings to continually promote awareness and drive improved adherence to Quality policies and procedures.
- Facilitate Lean Six Sigma process improvement workshops and Root Cause Analysis events to improve efficiency and quality, reduce waste, eliminate bottlenecks and to seek opportunities for process automation.
- Manage the Quality site on the Ulteig intranet including communications, Quality program updates, quarterly newsletters and training opportunities.
- In collaboration with the Quality Manager, develop and implement Quality department process improvement actions that result from employee engagement surveys.
- Work in partnership with the Quality Manager in implementing and managing Ulteig’s Corrective/Preventive Action (CAPA) process.
- Lead and execute elements of the Quality Annual Plan as assigned by the Quality Manager.
What We Expect from You
- Associates degree, or higher, in a business or technical discipline.
- 7+ years working in a similar role in an engineering services or technical environment.
- Advanced proficiency in applying industry standards and best practices to map complex business and technical processes.
- Possess a wide range of process mapping and design experience including IT, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Project Management, Procurement and Quality.
- Experience facilitating or leading teams through structured problem solving and process improvement efforts.
- Experience administering or supporting an enterprise-wide Quality Management System.
- Experience conducting internal audits and administering or supporting an internal audit program.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 (or equivalent).
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Practitioner a plus.
- Experience conducting internal quality, process or system audits a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with all levels of an organization.
- Exceptional time management and workload management; must possess the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and assignments concurrently.
- Strong desire and ability to foster effective working relationships with leaders and individual contributors across the organization.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint.

- Must have the ability to work permanently in the U.S.
- Ability to travel to Ulteig office locations up to 10%.
