Job Description:

Job Description: The Analyst in Corporate Banking provides specialized financial and statistical analysis on a broad range of marketing and execution activities. Conducts research, on-going analysis, prepares supporting documentation, and assists in due diligence efforts on transactions.

 

Program Description

We are considering candidates interested in joining the Corporate Banking team based in New York, NY as part of TD Securities' 2025 Corporate and Investment Banking Full-Time Analyst Program. 

 

Corporate Banking is responsible for originating and managing client relationships, with a primary focus on core Treasury solutions including relationship loans, debt capital market financings, risk management, working capital management, cash management and investment and other product offerings across the broader TD platform.

 

Corporate Banking Analysts support TD's banking relationship coverage efforts with public and private corporations, preparing analyses and materials to provide holistic advice and execution that enables clients to meet their strategic and financial objectives.

•Key responsibilities include conducting industry research and business due-diligence, preparing capital commitment and underwriting memos, and preparing client marketing materials in coordination with product groups.

•Corporate Banking Analysts should have strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple workstreams at once.

 

Analysts can expect a fast-paced, demanding work environment that offers the opportunity to learn and grow professionally. Analysts work in small deal teams on a wide range of transactions. From initial client contact through closing a transaction, our analysts are an integral part of the transaction process; researching, valuing, pricing, marketing, and structuring transactions.

 

The Analyst Training Program, which begins in early July, provides a five-week introduction and orientation to the firm and its capabilities. The curriculum includes coursework in accounting, communication skills, debt and equity capital markets, Excel, financial analysis, modeling, and valuation.

 

Depth & Scope:

·        Works within a deal team under the overall direction of a senior officer

·        Assists in the analysis of clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and M&A opportunities

·        Assists in valuations of private and public companies

·        Performs basic to intermediate financial modeling in Excel

·        Provides input to external client proposals and internal underwriting memos; assists in the preparation of client presentations based upon the above

·        Establishes an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Bank

·        Maintains confidentiality of client information

·        Experienced working professional level role providing a broad range of support to the team
