We are looking for a Global Product Manager to be the owner of the Product Lifecycle and strategy development. Develop a strategic vision and roadmap to drive innovation for our customers and growth for the Grain & Protein business. The role of the Product Manager (PM) is one of the key roles within the agile team.

 

Your Impact

  • Creating and articulating the product roadmap, customer and market needs and evaluating current product portfolio performance.
  • Manage the entire Product Lifecycle of the Grain & Seed portfolio (New Product, Existing Product, Product Discontinuation)
  • Actively manage a portfolio of products to ensure alignment with customer needs through closely engaging with direct users of products, monitor competitive landscape, and follow changing market dynamics
  • Understand global and regional product considerations and develop strategies to effectively grow.
  • Manage a backlog funnel of product improvement opportunities and provide prioritization for cross-functional teams to execute actions in alignment with the product roadmap and strategy
  • Maintain an understanding of competitive manufacturers – portfolio, value propositions, key markets, key customers and relative market share
  • Support and develop effective pricing strategies and recommendations
  • Partner with Product Owners to prioritize funnel opportunities and impact to the business via Business Case and VoC.
  • Analyze current product line performance and provide strategic direction to ensure continued ‘product health’ or recommend alternative actions (i.e. - cost out, rationalization, discontinuation, etc.)
  • Effectively communicate product notifications via appropriate methods to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication and resolving roadblocks with key stakeholders on behalf of the team; Product Owners, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and other key partner areas.
  • In conjunction with Product Owners, prepare product enhancement launches/releases.

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Positive / “Can do” / Collaborative / Open / Passionate outlook and personality
  • Inquisitive / Learning mentality
  • Solid experience (+5yrs) working as a Product Manager, or in a similar capacity
  • Solid financial experience and business judgment
  • Solid decision-making skills, and the ability to make decisions with limited direction.
  • Must have good mechanical attitude and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic working environment.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a positive and collaborative attitude.
  • In-depth understanding of agricultural products and systems, specifically for Grain & Protein products across all regions
  • Agile work environment experience
  • Discreet Manufacturing experience
  • Global company experience
