Position Overview

The Sr. Contracts Administrator is responsible for leading day-to-day operations of contract life cycle management for domestic and international contracting with focus on complex business areas. This role also ensures operational effectiveness by partnering with key functional stakeholders to ensure contract life-cycle best practices are monitored to ensure efficiency and innovation in addition to team training. This position is essential to the contracting team and for our contract life-cycle management processes and procedures company wide.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage the lifecycle of contracts, from contract request through execution supporting complex business teams such as clinical, international and physician partnerships.
  • Act as a liaison to Company’s business teams in all areas of contract management; including, but not limited to, assisting with the contracting intake, addressing process inquiries, and triaging day to day contract-life cycle management questions, assisting with escalations as needed.
  • Monitoring risk assessment and supplier onboarding processes, ensuring completion prior to contract signature.
  • Review contract records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Triage day-to-day contract life cycle management (CLMA) process issues and requests by monitoring team’s email inbox and manage escalated issues.
  • Build out and sustain CLMA business process training content including ad-hoc delivery of training materials.
  • Lead efforts to business process optimization of current CLMA processes, identify new processes, and technology system enhancements and standard methodologies in partnership with Enablement team to improve overall operational effectiveness.
  • Understand, develop, and maintain tools to best support domestic and international contracts administration, including but not limited to, playbook development, outlining jurisdictional nuances and country signature requirements.
  • Partner with Enablement team to identify CLMA system reporting requirements and key performance indicators.
  • Attend meetings to assess progress on projects and take detailed notes to share with stakeholders and create regular status reports regarding progress on projects.
  • Write contract cover letters, executive summaries, and other communications and notices.
  • Assist and listen to needs of business teams and communicate in a clear, consistent, and positive way, while ensuring a positive experience and the maintaining of efficient operations, assisting with escalations as necessary.

  • Ability to travel 5% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
  • Ability to travel between Exact Sciences Madison locations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, or a field related to the essential duties or a high school diploma and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in contracting and/or contracts administration.
  • 3+ years experience guiding business teams through contracting activities.
  • 1+ years of formal training experience.
  • 2+ working knowledge of Coupa, comparable CLM, or similar business spend management platform.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
