Summary

The primary responsibilities of the Inventory Control I is to assist with the management of the inventory of all materials needed for the production floor. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update inventory records
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies
  • Receive purchase orders into the system
  • Learn names and location of employees to make deliveries
  • Receive POs into Radex/Dart rolls and non-roll material
  • Print out labels for rolls and assign serial numbers
  • Report any stock issues to management
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all compliance requirements
  • Ensure QA standards are met
  • Drive continuous improvements
  • Train on PHI recycling
  • Learn NAV
  • Keep area clean and clear of clutter
  • May be asked to assist in other areas of production as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School graduate, or completion of GED required
  • At least one year working in a warehouse or working with inventory
  • Ability to work independently and with other coworkers
  • Ability to drive a forklift or use pallet jacks when offloading trucks
  • Ability to read and understand packing slips
  • Ability to understand procedures on requesting material from inventory
  • Understand procedures on requesting material from inventory
  • Understand procedures on filling out and issuing material to floor
  • Understand procedures on returning material to inventory 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) 
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills necessary 
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds without restriction 
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with effective time-management abilities  
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems considered a plus
  • Must be able to work overtime
  • Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity
  • Take personal responsibility for productivity, quality and timeliness of work 
  • Effectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner
  • Challenge conventional practices and use creativity and information to lead, innovate, problem solve, and implement ideas to contribute to the growth of the organization
  • Support and meet company/department goals and core values
  • Worked with Jira and how to record packages from delivery a plus
  • Collaborate with co-workers to achieve common goals

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb. In addition requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 10 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
