Job Summary

The Senior Business Analyst (Solumina MES Administrator and Support) position will provide internal MES (Manufacturing Execution System) administration and support for multiple Leonardo DRS companies. This position will provide IT Business Analyst and Support skills to help resolve systemic and process related issues between Solumina MES and Costpoint.   The position will be working with multiple DRS sites to answer support tickets, system administration and facilitating training for end users.

Job Responsibilities

•    Business and Systems Analysis – resulting in defined business processes to meet multi-disciplined MES, Quality and manufacturing requirements.
•    Ability to troubleshoot Solumina (MES) issues to resolution working with both internal and external vendor resources/ticketing systems.
•    Identify, develop and propagate the use of “best practices” processes throughout the Leonardo DRS business units.
•    Experience with iBaseT Solumina (MES) and how to navigate within the software.
•    Coordinate process and system test and validation efforts.
•    Provide both one-on-one and classroom/web-based user training – develop training material tailored to the process and user community.
•    Coordinate efforts through the MES Manager and other internal resources to assure consistent, disciplined process development and deployment of best practices throughout implementations.
•    Ability to listen and communicate effectively to assess process/system requirements and to document detailed analysis of the business requirements.
•    Analyze with end users to assess both operational and executive reporting requirements. Relay these requirements to Report Developers for implementation and verification of the data.
•    Administration and Setup of Solumina

Skills should include:
•    Proficient with the iBaseT Solumina Manufacturing Execution System
o    System Administration (e.g., LoginID Setup, Code Maintenance, License administration, Global Parameters)
o    Manufacturing Execution – Ability to facilitate creation and revisions of Routing/Operational Plans including Operation Steps, Data Collections and Standard Operations.
    Familiar with Costpoint Integration and communication for Routings, Part Settings, Bill Of Materials and Work Order Creations
    Familiar with the As-Built Configuration and how it is updated during the build process from Work Order Routings/Operations.
    How to process Work Order Alterations
    Familiar with Shop Floor Time transactions within Solumina to Sign On/Off for each Operation Step
o    Discrepancy Processing
    Familiar with Quality Processes
    Familiar with Dispositioning of defective material (e.g. Use as Is, Rework, Return to Vendor, Repair, Scrap)
    Familiarity Rework Work Order Creation to request a new Work Order from Costpoint.
    How to split a Discrepancy for defective quantities for Line 1, 2, etc. for different dispositions.
    How to Initiate a Discrepancy from an Inspection/Work Order.
o    Inspection Planning for Receiving Inspection
    Create Inspection Plans
    Familiar with Requirement Groups (Commodity) and how to relate those to Parts for inspection criteria to link.
    How to create Inspection Steps
    Data Collections (Measurement, etc.)
    How to resolve issues with Inspection Orders due to quantity differences between Solumina and Costpoint.
    Familiar with how Solumina Inspection Orders and data communication between Costpoint work.
•    Experience with Manufacturing Processes and Operations
•    Experience with the Costpoint MRP System
•    Ability to Multitask and handle issues in a timely manner
•    Good written and verbal communications skills – traini
