Job Description

The Field Marketing Manager (FMM) reports to the Director of Marketing Americas and will function as the face of the Sirtex Marketing team in their respective regions. Collaborating with our Sales Leaders, Internal Stakeholders and External Experts, they will develop and activate measurable regional marketing strategies and campaigns to drive sales growth and marketing objectives.

Additionally, the FMM works within a team-based environment to optimize brand performance across Sirtex Products.  This includes working with the Professional Education Manager to plan and execute on strategic educational programs including our Centers of Education (COE) programs and area speaker programs. The RMM will also assist the National Oncology Manager in executing educational programs to cultivate strong relationships with targeted medical professionals in the oncology space.     

Qualifications

  • Strategic Marketing
    • Develop meaningful collaborative relationships with key commercial stakeholders and physician collaborators.
    • Work with the Area Sales Directors and business analytic teams to identify market opportunities and assist in developing regional strategies for business growth.
    • Develop with sales partners, the exhibit/trade show and professional education manager strategy, execution for regional conventions, external expert consulting, advisory boards, and commercial peer-to-peer education programming.
    • Continually applies knowledge and evaluates the effectiveness of key marketing tactics, making strategic recommendations to leadership on opportunities for brand optimization and sales growth.
    • Ability to provide in-depth insights based on the brands’ key business questions to provide input on marketing strategy, resource optimization and tactic development that drives brand performance.
    • Lead partnerships with field leadership in assigned geography to optimize pull-through of marketing strategies.
    • Responsible for understanding a geographical area’s competitive landscape, provider dynamics and competitive intelligence across the assigned geography.
  • Thought Leader Engagement
    • Working with the Director of Marketing, Professional Education Manager and National Oncology Manager to identify, build, and strengthen commercial relationships with external physician experts, emerging leaders, and relevant patient and professional associations within assigned geography.
    • Develop regional engagement plans for external physician experts and ensure consistent tactical execution throughout the year to drive key marketing engagement and business growth objectives.
    • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of external and internal drivers across multiple external stakeholder groups and appropriately connecting Sirtex’s marketing teams on opportunities for collaboration based on aligned objectives, in compliance with industry standards, Sirtex compliance and government guidelines.

Additional Information

EDUCATIONAL PREREQUISITES AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years in medical device or pharmaceutical sales; with at least 2 years of experience in Oncology marketing (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to navigate a field and headquarter based matrix organization, to impact and/or drive decision making across functions to drive strategy and brand performance
  • Experience developing and executing marketing objectives and plans at the regional level.
  • Adaptability to changing environments and markets.
  • Service-oriented and responsive mindset.
  • Strong organ
