Job Description

This role will play a major role in high visibility Enterprise Transformation, responsible for understanding Citizens' architecture current state, what the “to-be” state will be, and how will the organization get to the “to be” state as a group. As an Enterprise Security Architect, you will be responsible for leading the creation of security architecture strategies, developing, and maintaining security reference architectures, and creating high-level security architecture blueprints to establish a secure foundation for critical business initiatives.
You will work collaboratively with other stakeholders to understand business requirements and create security blueprints that align with business goals and objectives. Additionally, you will evaluate emerging security technologies and determine their potential impact on the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of security architecture principles, frameworks, and best practices, as well as a strong technical background in security technologies and solutions.
Job Duties:
Future State Architecture: Identify, design, and roadmap the to-be state (related to your assigned architecture domain) for the purpose of aligning technology investments with IT and business objectives. Complete IT Strategy documents to establish the direction of future state architecture. Utilize the Enterprise Architecture Tool and Repository to provide future state views when applicable.
Relationship Management: Establish and maintain contacts with departments associated with your assigned architecture domain (Systems/Applications, Security, Information, Technology) to understand activities, drivers, requirements, and alternatives being considered and/or implemented. Managing relationships with those key leads to staying connected, and influence alignment with future state architecture.
Architecture Consulting: Collaborate with relevant Agile members (business, development, architects, etc.) to define architecture blueprints, contribute to non-functional requirements, ensure alignment with strategies, and advance maturity of capabilities to deliver value.
Governance: Promote Agile Architecture with the appropriate level of governance and verification as part of the delivery process to minimize overhead, ensure continuous flow of value, and balance intentional design with emergent design. Lead assigned governance activities following established processes for meeting logs, highlights, etc...
Innovation: Analyze and track technology industry and market trends and determine their potential impact on the enterprise. Conduct proof-of-concept solutions and make recommendations. Participate in vendor and product evaluations.
Reference Architecture and Patterns: Create and maintain reference architectures to guide the direction of initiatives towards the future state architecture. Develop, propose, promote, and champion standards, best practices, and design patterns. Assist delivery teams with knowledge transfer regarding use of those standards and patterns. Create and maintain content for the Enterprise Architecture web site.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree OR 3 years relevant experience, OR a combination of college education and relevant experience equivalent to 3 years (Computer Science, Information Technology or related program)
    • TOGAF certification (or within 6 months of hire).

    Relevant Experience:

    • 8 or more years of experience in one or more of the following architecture domains: Application/Systems; Technology/Infrastructure; Information/Data; Security. 3 or more years of experience as an enterprise architect, technical architect, or senior systems engineer 2 or more years of experience as a team lead or ex
