Cabarrus College of Health Sciences is a private college for healthcare professions[1] on the campus of Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, North Carolina. It is affiliated with Atrium Health,[2] a hospital network with more than 70,000 employees and 1,400 care locations, and since its merger with Advocate Aurora Health in 2022, part of Advocate Health. The college offers 18 degrees in 11 health science disciplines, with a mix of on-campus, online, and hybrid programs.
Job Summary
Acting faculty member and provides leadership and oversight of the general studies program.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for supervision, recruitment, workload assignment, and evaluation of faculty
- Prepares and manages department budget
- Develops and implements curriculum and scheduling
- Responsible for student and program assessment
- Ensures ongoing evaluation and compliance with accreditation requirements
- Oversees acquisition and maintenance of necessary resources for general studies
- Directs learning outcomes assessment of general studies across college curricula
- Provides instruction
Physical Requirements
Requires knowledge regarding teaching discipline and ability to verbalize that knowledge in a presentation in a classroom. Mobility needed to access classrooms and offices within the School. Responsible for working in a safe manner.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Master's Degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline (A and P, BIO, CHEM, PSY, ENG, PHI, SOC) and previous teaching experience at the college level required. Management skills preferred.
