We’re seeking highly motivated individuals to take the lead on designing an in-vehicle technology stack (Middleware) & cloud-native DevOps Platform to enable Smart Vehicle Architecture.

We are seeking an Engineering Team Manager – Middleware&DevOps to lead and manage a local team of highly competent engineers at our Kraków site. Your mission will be to lead and enable your team with inspiration and use your expertise for technical guidance.

Together with this, you will be providing input to staffing planning, which would be based on the knowledge of business requirements, newly won contracts, and product roadmap, as well as a deep understanding of current staffing levels, skillsets, and existing retention risks.

Your Role:

• Provide strong leadership to technical staff

• Coach and develop people and align the team around Aptiv values

• Cost and budget management to ensure solid capacity planning

• Lead and/or support the development and execution of product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

• Own the engineering quality, timing, and product cost as well as department budget(s)

• Drive and support enterprise continuous improvement (cost, quality, performance, efficiency)

• Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing suppliers and customers (resolve problems when needed)

• Identify, define and communicate future-oriented technological needs for product scope

• Permanently watch quality and cost evolution and identify means for cost savings or business development opportunities

• Review project technical risk assessments. Help to drive the timely completion of action items. Verify resolution plan implementation

• Represents Aptiv as the product expert at customer meetings as needed or requested

• Monitoring that engineering execution is following standard work and best practices. The work products comply with applicable organization policies and procedures

• On-time execution of assigned tasks in compliance with the valid quality system valid for Aptiv corporation

Your Background:

• Prior hands-on experience with modern software development process and product lifecycle management.

• Master degree in Engineering

• 5+ years of management experience

• Ability to operate in highly matrix and complex environment
