Description
OBJECTIVE: This position works to enhance and protect our trail systems. This position monitors the trail system for hazards such as fallen trees, excess erosion, boardwalk and bridge damage, and checks trail signs and other markings for damage. Provides ongoing monitoring along trails and roadsides. Responsible for maintaining guest cabins, staff units, and common areas of the ranch.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plow Operation:
• Perform trail maintenance on trails including brushing, lopping, tread repair using loppers, chainsaws, mcleods, pulaskis, pick mattocks and shovels.
• Construct drainage features using dry stone masonry.
• Construct new trails using sustainable trail techniques.
• Completes trail work in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain tools and equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Adhere to field safety protocols to ensure safety of self and others.
• Assist in ranch irrigation and agriculture program.
• Build and maintain barbed wire fence. Maintenance:
• Ensure presentation of all guest cabins and common areas meet 5-star standards.
• Complete all work orders assigned to the guest cabins, staff units, and common areas of the ranch. E.g. analyzing and repairing plumbing, electrical, heating and simple carpentry repairs. Many of these work orders will come in the day by radio calls as housekeeping is cleaning guest units.
• Repair or maintain in operating condition all common areas – patio house, lodge, store, exercise room, business center, spa, and shop.
• Conducting ongoing room and building preventative maintenance programs. Maintain accurate logs of these programs.
• Provide quality and professional service when responding to guest concerns and maintain good working relationships with other departments and their team members.
• Assist in maintaining the building exteriors, sidewalks, lawn, and general lighting.
• Follow all team member and safety handbook guidelines.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work independently with remote supervision. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 45 lbs. Able to walk long distance throughout the Ranch. Must be able to handle machinery such as tow truck, fork-lift, side by sides, leaf blowers, chain saws.
