Part of AWS Marketing – Global Brand Partnerships, the Global Sponsorship program creates strategic, ROI generating sponsorship opportunities for AWS Partners and customers. Our program is designed to support companies in growing their business with AWS and our customers. Sponsorship opportunities are offered globally across a variety of marketing programs. The Global Sponsorship program is designed to engage customers with quality sponsor developed content, education, and networking; deliver sponsors partner shared leads and ROI; optimize revenue cost recovery for AWS Marketing; and execute a sponsorship program that is aligned to the AWS Partner Organization business. We design sponsorship programs with equal focus on our four goals. AWS Marketing events with sponsorship programs include re:Invent, re:Inforce, Commercial and Public Sector Summits, industry events, third-party programs, executive marketing events, and field programs.
The Sponsorship Operations Manager brings critical tool administrator, process and project management, and operational expertise to sponsored programs across the AWS Marketing event portfolio. In this role, the Sponsorship Operations Manager defines tooling requirements, maintains tools and ownership on a day-to-day basis, executes tooling communications, and access. They own the end-to-end delivery of key sponsorship operation functions including tools such as the Exhibitor Resource Center (ERC), Resource Hub (Zendesk), Ziflow, and Airtable, as well as the process and project management which these tools enable for sponsors. They also work with sponsorship program managers and interface with the operations tool leader and event technology teams to deploy new tool features and requirements aligned to the roadmap.
They are responsible for the implementation of processes, planning, on-site operations, and post-event requirements. Successful team members step seamlessly into a corporate event and partner marketing (sponsorship) environment, have strong organizational skills, ability to work across multiple teams and cultures, demonstrate impeccable customer service, feels comfortable working in an ambiguous environment, and are energetically driven to meet the needs of stakeholders and the team. They bring technical instincts and a product mindset to the role.
Key job responsibilities
Tool Management
• Tool administrator acts as a system administrator who specializes in Airtable, RainFocus, Cvent, Jomablue (ERC and Lead retrieval modules), Workfront, and Zendesk (Resource Hub).
• Oversees agency construction, publication, and ongoing management of the sponsorship Exhibitor Resource Center(s) and Resource Hub (Zendesk).
• Owns overall workback schedule for build and launch of the ERC tool between all vendors, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met by all business partners. They establish processes and mechanisms for implementation of ERC, including task publication, internal training, pre-launch testing, launch process, and sponsor onboarding and removals.
• Work directly with the vendors and agency partners on ongoing tool management throughout the event lifecycle, resolve any issues quickly and ensure long term solutions are implemented.
• Develop, create, and configure AirTable and ZiFlow intake forms that support the sponsorship workflows.
• Develops mechanisms within tools to address custom sponsorship edge cases effectively and efficiently.
• Establishes a deep understanding of business requirements, use cases, dependencies and security requirements for each tool.
• Collaborates with program managers, agency partners and other stakeholders to define requirements, understand gaps and future needs and deliver a solution.
• Customizes the platform and works with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver a solution to solve business needs.
• Sources and creates training materials, supports the training of all users, and manages user permissions to perform jobs.
• Manages and maintains the platform and associated runbook including user access, assigning roles and permissions, considering upgrades to support and professional service, and optimizing user license allocation.
• Maintain data integrity using process rules.
• Ensuring reports and dashboards encompass the right metrics and are easy to review and analyze.
• Works with program managers and collaborates with the operations tool roadmap lead and event technology team to deploy new tool features and requirements aligned to the roadmap.
• Participates in internal UX Testing for all tool features and launches.
Project and Process Management
• Automates processes and design optimal workflow to reduce manual workload and simplify multi tool workflows .
