Overview
Spathe is currently searching for a Learning Management Systems (LMS) Support Specialist to join our team in the Tampa, FL area.
Spathe Systems is a rapidly growing SOF led, 8(a) defense contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL with offices in Fayetteville, NC and strategic partner locations in Virginia Beach and Coronado. Responsibilities
- Support the current e-Campus LMS (i.e. Blackboard, Canvas, etc.) and video management systems.
- Ensure accessibility, operation, and integrity of the e-Campus/integrated environments.
- Be the designated SME regarding the use, functionality, and updates to the learning and video management systems.
- Deliver, manage, and administer online courseware content.
- Provide technical online course support for faculty and students using the learning management system.
- Ensure the video system usage, application, and functionality are uninterrupted, and updated.
- Consistently support the LMS/e-Campus and video management systems to meet JSOU’s operational policies.
- Notify the Government lead immediately upon discovery of any LMS service outage and assist the Government lead in working with LMS provider to restore functionality.
- Resolve issues by acting as LMS/e-campus technical support to students and/or faculty as required.
- Work with Government lead to implement Government-approved strategies, processes, and procedures regarding the categorization, retention, and accessibility of data in the e-Campus system.
- Create e-Campus content, course, event, or collaboration pages IAW approved template guidelines.
- Work with JSOU instructional designers to incorporate courseware into new course iterations per designated JSOU policy or guidance.
- Develop and produce system-wide reports using internal and external reporting tools.
- Works with JSOU graphic designer to create and manage the brand graphics and overall design of the e-Campus system.
- Maintain user accounts and student enrollment processes in the LMS.
- Ensure e-Campus content is backed up, archived, disabled, and deleted as identified by the Government lead.
- Coordinate with vendor on scheduled upgrades to LMS and other software support packages.
- Provide LMS and video management platform training to faculty or staff as required.
Qualifications
- BA/BS required in information systems, instructional technology, or related field* OR Certified training in a related field with a BA/BA degree. *All degrees used to qualify a candidate for a PTE position shall be from a regionally accredited U.S. college/university or internationally recognized college/university.
- SECRET clearance required
- Travel is required to various CONUS and OCONUS locations, including hazardous sites. The Contractor shall travel as initiated by written tasking.
- 4 years’ instructional technology or related experience.
- 4 years’ providing first-level learning management system technical support.
- Blackboard Learn Administration Essentials Certificate or be able to achieve certificate within first year on contract.
