Our team of 100+ passionate builders focuses on craft, innovation, and collaboration, creating exceptional impact for entrepreneurs and businesses worldwide.</p><h2>Role Summary</h2><p>We're looking for a <strong>Senior Django Backend Engineer</strong> to help deliver exciting new features for our users and improve the quality of existing ones while collaborating closely with other engineers (both frontend and backend) and product owners.</p><p><strong>Compensation:</strong> 100k £/€ + Stock-Options/BSPCE </p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Remote across Europe with monthly Paris office visits (fully reimbursed)</p><p></p><h2>About the Role</h2><ul><li><p>You will own your work from A to Z: it goes from working on the architecture &amp; coding features to monitoring releases' performance (we use Datadog for monitoring).</p></li><li><p>You will get fast feedback from our users and will iterate quickly (we update the backend multiple times a week). You will follow the usage of the product and make decisions based on that.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, front-end) to actively help design and deliver seamless user experiences.</p></li><li><p>You will optimise existing endpoints, driving down latency and ensuring we can continue to scale to ever greater usages</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>About You</h2><ul><li><p>You have <strong>5+ years</strong> of experience in backend development with Django and Django Rest Framework</p></li><li><p>You have experience working with a relational database at scale, designing schemas, optimising Django queries, and running migrations with minimal downtime</p></li><li><p>You have a hands-on experience with a PostgreSQL/MySQL database larger than 100 GB</p></li><li><p>You have experience designing endpoints in direct collaboration with frontend engineers, delivering both Open API and developer manuals/supporting documentation</p></li><li><p>You are always the most <strong>pragmatic</strong> person in the room. You favour speed of iteration over perfect, always leverage frameworks and libraries to avoid reinventing the wheel</p></li><li><p>You have a strong sense of ownership.
