About the role

Job Description Summary

As a Refurb Material Manager on the Steam & Generator team, you will be responsible for facilitating transactions, producing, assembling and delivering replacement/ repair parts and equipment as part of a Services Agreement or Order. This also includes activities such as processing transactions, managing processes, material management, site operations, or warehouse logistics & shipping, sometimes in a shop structure. Includes craft & non craft labour as well as manager roles responsible solely for these activities.

This position impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Any service related activity to fulfill replacement and spare parts including transactional services, parts for casting for outages, Hot Gas Parts etc...
    A part is defined as any component (material, single part or sub- assembly) of the "System & Equipment" which is or may be required for the continued operation of the "System & Equipment" during its life time, includes spare parts management, transactional order fulfillment, including HGP
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions
  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members
     

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in manufacturing or materials management
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Repairs & Services in Steam Turbine & Generator

Eligibility Requirement

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
  • This position is located at the GE Vernova Repairs Center in Richmond, VA with hybrid flexibility as allowed

Pay Transparency

The starting base pay range for this position is $91,400.00 - $152,200.00.  The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.  This posting is expected to close on May 31, 2025, or thereafter.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
