Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Cellular Therapy - Days

 

As the largest and busiest Transfusion Medicine department in New York, we set the standards for our field. Our Technologists are conducting the widest array of testing in this fast-paced, high-volume environment. Here, you will gain more experience with analysis not being performed anywhere else, including rare opportunities with antibody identification and immunohematology disorders. Combined with the stem cell capabilities of our Cellular Therapy department, we offer unlimited opportunities to advance your expertise.

The lab performs complex laboratory procedures to prepare cellular therapy products and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Technologist will play a crucial part in the development and administration of cellular therapy treatments for patients, perform cell processing and cryopreservation procedures, and will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient care. There are a plethora of opportunities to participate in research and developmental projects related to cellular therapy. The work in this laboratory requires strong attention to details, analytical skills and ability to work independently with irreplaceable products.

 

This position works Monday through Friday 9a-5pm.

 

Preferred Criteria     

• ASCP certification
• Strongly prefer Transfusion Medicine or Cellular Therapy experience

 

Required Criteria

• A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent experience) 
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department
• 2 years of experience

NEW HIRES PENDING A CLINICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST LICENSE:

• Must obtain the License within 6 months of hire

Salary Range:

$97,000-$132,300/Annual
