The Accounts Payable Specialist position is responsible for assisting in various accounting functions related to Accounts Payable, 1099 Supplier Payroll Processing, 1099 Year End Review and Distribution.

Essential Functions:

  • Accounts Payable entry, coding and approval routing.
  • Manage 1099 verification and reporting.
  • Review and validate contractor time and expenses and ensure timely and accurate invoice processing and payments.
  • Reconcile contractor accounts and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Correspond with contractors on matters related to payment details.
  • Other duties as assigned

Necessary Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates an understanding of 1099 payroll processing and reporting.
  • Detailed oriented strong and analytical skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Customer Service focused, with great communication skills.
  • Team player willing to cross-train in other accounting functions.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently.

Educational Requirements:

  • Associate in Accounting or related field
  • B.S./B.A. in Accounting preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • 2 years’ experience in processing 1099 payroll  processing with multiple task responsibilities.
