Job Description

Summary

This position is responsible for timely and accurate processing of Medicaid Drug Rebate payments for fee for service, managed care, diabetic and supplemental rebate programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Accurately post and reconcile all rebate payments within the client service agreements
  • Receives in manufacturer payments from over 800 manufacturers per rebate program, forwards information to state partners, scans check, envelope and all supporting documentation prior to entering into rebate system
  • Collate and stuff all invoices to mail to all contracted manufacturers
  • Maintains weekly deposit tracking spreadsheet and communicate correspondence with Rebate analyst
  • Meets and maintains all quality and production standards by verifying data entered for accuracy
  • Communicates with drug manufacturers regarding payment documentation and discrepancies
  • Interacts with internal and external contacts on a professional level
  • Support department initiative and improving overall efficiency
  • Assists other team members as needed
  • Generates reports as requested

Client Responsibilities

This is an internal and external client facing position that requires excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills (listening/verbal/written).  One must be able to; manage difficult or emotional client situations; Respond promptly to client needs; Solicit client feedback to improve service; Respond to requests for service and assistance from clients; Meet commitments to clients.

Education and/or Experience

GED/HS Diploma and 2+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software. The individual is expected to develop competence with MedInvoice rebate system or other business intelligence software, as well as with proprietary systems/databases used by MedImpact.

None Required.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), analytical and/or financial reasoning skills. Familiar with service contracts and contract interpretation. Strong knowledge of pharmacy services with an emphasis on the managed health care environment.
