Job Title: Senior Accounting Software Consultant
Location: Birmingham, AL | Hybrid Eligible

McLeod Software is seeking a Senior Accounting Software Consultant to join our Enterprise Consulting Services (ECS) team. In this role, you’ll provide training, support, and consultation to customers using McLeod’s powerful accounting modules within our transportation management software.

What You’ll Do:

• Train customers on McLeod accounting modules during new software implementations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve accounting-related software issues by interacting directly with McLeod customers.
• Deliver support and training via calls, webinars, and occasional in-person sessions.
• Provide internal training to McLeod employees on accounting functionality.
• Maintain accurate support documentation and follow-up reports.
• Collaborate with Product teams to recommend enhancements to accounting features.
• Manage custom accounting-related projects such as GL alterations.
• Travel to customer sites approximately once per quarter and attend transportation and accounting conferences (~20% travel per year).

 

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of general accounting experience required.
• 3+ years of customer support experience required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Dynamics GP).
• Experience in training users or documenting processes.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Transportation industry experience is a plus.
