Senior Cloud Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to support our customers and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cloud Engineer with extensive experience in managing cloud computing. The role requires expertise in various cloud environments, including on-premise, hybrid, and commercial cloud. The ideal candidate will have a mid to senior level of experience and the ability to mentor junior developers and engineers. The engineer should be passionate about infrastructure as code implementations and have a proven track record in provisioning, managing, and securing cloud infrastructure. Excellent communication skills are essential to interact with various stakeholders, internally and externally effectively.

What we are looking for: 

• Five years as a software engineer leveraging large-scale cloud infrastructure as their primary application platform (preferred AWS)
• Five years of experience working with agile and lean software development practices
• Deep understanding of modern security best practices for cloud infrastructure and networks
• Three years of hands-on experience building declarative infrastructure using modern Infrastructure as Code techniques
• Extensive experience scripting (PowerShell, JSON, and Python)
• Successfully transforming large-scale software, data center, and/or on-premise infrastructure programs to a containerized cloud-native architecture
• Obtain Security+ within the first 90 days of employment with Raft

Highly preferred:

• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB

Clearance Requirements:

• Active Secret Security Clearance

Work Type: 

• Hybrid - Hanscom, AFB
• May require up to 10% travel

Salary Range:

• $90,000 - $170,000 
• The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
