Who we are looking for
Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Pricing, Contracting and Forecasting, this role will support strategic and tactical initiatives around Market Access for assigned Chiesi Global Rare Disease GRD portfolio products within the United States.
Main Responsibilities
The U.S. Market Access Intern - Rare Disease will contribute to company success by collaborating with Payer marketing team in development of the market access strategy, tactics, and marketing material for the assigned portfolio. This role will also be critical in executing tasks for the Market Access team, including U.S. health policy research, marketing presentation development and support, market access coverage research, and project management related functions.
This role offers a great learning opportunity in understanding patient access to therapies in a complex U.S. healthcare payer system.
Experience Required
- Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough research, analyze data, and extract relevant information from scientific literature.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical (qualitative and quantitative), strategic thinking, creativity & problem-solving skills.
- Self-directed and confident, with ability to contribute to shared commitment and goals to achieve high standards of performance.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and multifunctional resources concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail while responding to rapidly changing priorities and aggressive deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Education
Enrollment in healthcare focused undergraduate or graduate degree program. Previous healthcare or medical experience preferred but not required. Interest in future career in pharmaceutical or biotech industry preferred.
