What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
· Designing solutions or improvements to address current and ongoing issues with underground construction equipment and/or processes
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
· Experience & Education: Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering Sophomore or Junior
· Skills: mechanical design
· Characteristics: confident, resourceful, independent worker
Duties and Responsiblities
· Support safety projects and manufacturing processes as directed
· Maintain plant layout for machine moves and cost reduction efforts
· Evaluate manufacturing and material handling processes for new parts
· Support new part quoting activities & SAP routings
· Conduct time studies of part’s processes
· Assist quality engineering with print tolerances & process capability studies
· Assist in the research & development of capital projects & equipment
· Support Quality, Maintenance and Lean operations problem solving activities
· Frequently report verbally and in writing on project status
· Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
· Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or similar engineering discipline preferred from an ABET-accredited institution.
· Software: AutoCAD, Solidworks, Solidedge, Creo Parametric, Microsoft suite
· Strong mechanical aptitude. Desire to learn new skills and maintain knowledge of new technologies
· Must be independent, self-motivated. Must have interpersonal skills in working with a variety of cross-functional teams
