Maintenance Technician

FLSMIDTH Cement is hiring a Maintenance Technician at our new Lehigh Valley Facility.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on machinery, welding equipment, assembly tools, and warehouse systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement effective solutions.
• Calibrate and adjust machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Repair or fabricate components using welding techniques as needed.
• Maintain and service welding equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
• Assist in maintaining assembly tools and jigs.
• Ensure assembly lines and machine tools operate efficiently and meet production standards.
• Perform maintenance on forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, and other warehouse equipment.
• Address facility-related issues, such as lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and structural repairs.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Report and address safety hazards promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance preferred.
• Proven experience in machine maintenance, welding, assembly, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick) and basic fabrication skills.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment and facility maintenance practices.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs and industrial automation systems is a plus.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to [specify weight, e.g., 50 lbs].
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or in varying temperatures.
• Standing, bending, and climbing ladders for extended periods.

Work Environment:

• Industrial facility with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
• May involve working during off-hours or weekends to minimize downtime.
