We’re looking for a Demand Manager to join our team in Poeldijk, Netherlands.
As a Supply & Demand Planner in the fresh produce sector, you are responsible for optimizing the balance between supply and demand. You analyse sales forecasts, inventory levels, and logistics processes to ensure an efficient and cost-effective supply chain. You work closely with procurement, sales, logistics, and production to maximize product availability while minimizing waste.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and optimize demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and customer orders.
- Identify deviations in forecasts and adjust proactively to maintain accuracy.
- Monitor fresh produce availability and coordinate with suppliers and growers to ensure consistent supply.
- Align inventory replenishment and distribution strategies to prevent shortages or surpluses.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Analyze supply chain processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction and waste minimization.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, delivery reliability, and sales forecasts while analyzing market trends and weather impacts.
- Serve as the key link between procurement, sales, and logistics, advising internal teams on market trends and forecasts.
Requirements
Essential Experience, Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Agribusiness.
- Significant experience in a similar role within the fresh produce, FMCG, or food industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with forecasting tools and ERP systems (e.g., Green Commerce, Profix, 365).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Affinity with the fresh produce sector and knowledge of product seasonality.
- Must have a string business proficiency in Dutch and English.
