Description Overview

The Sr BPC Data Engineer is responsible for supporting the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (SAP BPC) application which delivers planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial consolidation capabilities to finance users.  BPC data Engineer plays key role in day to day support activities to address users questions and incidents along with development of new objects/models/views/process chains as part of enhancements/projects by participating in requirement gathering. Ideal candidate will pose strong SAP FI/CO consultant with strong finance acumen and passion for Data and Analytics

Scope of the Role

• Support and enhancement/development of existing C-fin BPC on S/4 Hana
• Design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and financial standards
• Configure and customize SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting functionalities to enable accurate financial consolidation, group reporting, and analysis
• Perform SAP BPC system configuration such as business process flow and business rules
• Utilize SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting tools to provide actionable insights and financial analysis to stakeholders
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reports for management, enabling data-driven decision-making
• Participate in requirement gathering and design phase to define business requirements and system blueprint design
• Build SAP BPC model & dimension
• Write/support code in Script Logic / Fox and ABAP for extended logic implementation
• Partake in System Integration Test and User Acceptance Test script making and provide support for issue handling
• Perform deployment of development objects throughout 3-tier landscape (Dev, QA, Production) using SDLC and change control process
• Produce training materials and deliver them through training sessions to users
• Compose user procedure and maintenance procedure documentations
• Compose functional & technical design documents where applicable
• Provide post go-live support to troubleshoot issues in production environment
• Ability to troubleshoot issues relating to BPC in a timely manner
• Be on call as/if needed during critical go live and closing periods
• Perrigo version - Global BPC 10.1 Optimized for S/4 HANA which is embedded into the S/4 1909 Application instances

Experience Required

• Experience in architecting, building and supporting Financial Planning applications within  BPC for at least 5+ years
• Strong functional experience in financial statement consolidation
• Strong Microsoft Excel modelling skills
• Must have excellent presentation and communication skills and the ability to gain the confidence of business users and stakeholders
• These skills are normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a closely related field; combined with a minimum of 6+ years of experience in the development and exposure to modeling and reporting skills with at least one or more domain knowledge such as Finance, Sale &Marketing, Customer Service, Planning etc.
