Our next Senior Finance and Data Analyst will be a key member of the Finance team, serving as the subject matter expert for Power BI and other data related programs. This role reports to the FP&A Manager – Finance Shared Services.  This role partners closely with Business Unit Controllers, Accounting, Master Data Management and IT team members to help provide timely and accurate data and reporting while achieving Sensient Finance Goals. This role will also assist with annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and monthly reporting. 

What you’ll do 

1. Data Analysis and Reporting (70%)
   • Create and maintain data visualizations using Power BI, provide support and training for the Finance Team and other Business Partners
   • Understand the flow of data between systems including, but not limited to JD Edwards, OneStream, Data Warehouse, DevEx, and Power BI and understands how that data impacts Power BI reports
   • Serves as a key liaison between the Finance and IT Teams.
   • Collaborate with business units and executive leadership to ensure our suite of reporting is fit for purpose, and regularly reviewed to identify process improvements
   • Investigate, review, and implement solutions to data integrity and reporting issues if they arise
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (30%)
   • Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting requirements
   • Maintain the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) calculation for each business unit on a monthly basis. Work with BU Controllers to confirm accuracy of data and calculation
   • Contribute to the development of the annual budget
   • Other ad hoc analyses and financial modeling upon request

What you’ll bring?

• Advanced MS Excel required including, but not limited to, the use of logical functions, reference functions, financial functions, building financial models, and connecting & organizing multiple data sets
• Finance / Data Analytics experience of 5+ years for a manufacturing and / or food processing business
• Advanced experience with Power BI including staging, prepping, cleaning and slicing data.
• Ability to effectively communicate with both Finance and non-Finance teammates.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Business Analytics
• Experience with Power BI required
• Experience with systems such as JD Edwards, Cognos, and OneStream preferred
