Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support the Health and Human Services (HHS) Influx Facilities. The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for the Key Responsibilities listed below.

This role is anticipated to be based within 240 miles of the Border with Mexico, however, final site location has yet to be determined, and this role is contingent upon client award, which is expected in late summer, early fall 2023.

About the Opportunity

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) historically cares for Unaccompanied Children (UC) crossing into the United States. As required by the Flores Settlement Agreement, ORR must deliver safe, child-friendly care for these children. ORR needs a trusted partner to manage and provide a full spectrum of services. To achieve ORR’s objectives, AECOM has partnered with industry leading firms to create TeamCARE.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership Collaboration: Collaborate with leadership team to develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System and its platform.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files for each child, documenting progress, assessments, and interventions. Adhere to confidentiality protocols when handling sensitive information.
  • Under direct supervision, develops and measures standard metrics, diagramming the flow, including inputs and outputs, of a business process, identifying opportunities for improvement, developing a project plan for implementing improvements and monitoring the new process to ensure it works as intended. 
  • Prepares reports and statistics, and another part working with front-line staff, identifying improvement opportunities and coaching employees on how to work more efficiently.
  • Performs routine assignments in the entry level. 
  • Has no discretion to vary from established procedures by performing structured work assignments. 
  • Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems. 
  • Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirement:

  • BA/BS Degree in Education, Social Work or similar curriculum + 6 years of relevant experience, including 2 years of teaching experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Proficiency in computer operations and documentation systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 + years of experience quality management system support.
