Slotting Supervisor

Summary:
The Warehouse Slotting Supervisor is responsible for supervising/coordinating activities of employees concerned with slotting, re-slotting, de-slotting, and/or placing SKUs securely in pick-front locations within the warehouse.
Job Duties: -
· Responsible for planning and maintaining layout of slotting, re-slotting and/or de-slotting, merchandise within the warehouse, and other storage areas. This is a constantly changing layout which has to take into consideration turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
· Advises management and directs employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related items
· Recommends and ensures remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock and daily inspection requirements of reporting issues accordingly.
· Proactive in slotting, re-slotting and/or de-slotting of SKUs
· Analyzes system generated reports for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels
· Oversee troubleshooting of slotting locations and cycle counts of inventory and clears any items without pick-fronts locations
· Communicates to Operations and the customer the slotting location accuracy percentage per requirement. Responsible to make adjustments to meet standards as necessary
· Proven ability to objectively complete performance review forms on subordinates
· Collaborate with Engineering, Inventory Control and Receiving departments on WMS reports
· Traces history of items to determine reasons for slotting discrepancies between inventory and receiving records and recommends remedial actions and collaborates to resolve discrepancies
· Directs work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites slotting workflow
· Assigns duties and examines work for accuracy, organization and compliance to policies and procedures
· Evaluates standardized procedures to improve slotting efficiency
· Prepares consolidated reports for management
· Other duties as required and assigned by manager
Requirements:
· 4 year college degree
· Minimum 3 years related warehouse/inventory experience and/or training
· PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
· Experience with vlookups and Warehouse Management Systems
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
· Ability to walk, stand, for an extend period of time
