We are looking for a Senior QA coach who plays a pivotal role within the software engineering team and can strive hard to enhance the overall quality of our software products and development processes by spreading the shift left mindset within the team.
Team up with the Lead QA Coach and other senior QA Coach to establish and maintain a culture of quality excellence through the implementation of best practices, methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Quality Coach collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify quality bottlenecks, drive quality assurance strategies, and provide guidance on testing frameworks, tools, and automation practices.
Role Responsibilities:

Delivery and Continuous Improvement

• Perform a QA role at a squad level as needed, to understand the current state and inform the future strategy and change management plan
• Review and adapt the current QA process for Mable Lean methodology, focusing on automation and integrating QA into the Developer workflow
• Across Teams, monitor and report on the results of QA processes and testing: This involves regularly reviewing the results of automated tests and tracking the progress of the automation effort.
• Develop strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and principles and agile development methodologies
• Upskill in automation practices, QA coaching, and assessment. 
• Team up with the Lead QA Coach and senior QA coach to establish and maintain a culture of quality excellence through the implementation of best practices, methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proactive steps to contribute beyond their defined role and responsibilities, showing willingness to take ownership of projects and drive results

QA Coaching

• Support in nurturing the QA practice at Mable through building common tools shared by squads and standardising ways of working
• Coach and mentor the team to build capability and efficiency against future vision for Quality, including handing over reporting relationships to Engineering Managers and Product Engineers 
• Coaches engineers on building quality into software from the very beginning 
• Review processes and resourcing to facilitate moving from squad to wider team level
• Support in designing QA resourcing model to support squad needs
• Educate development teams on QA processes and support change implementation.

Strategy

• Identify the areas of the testing process that can be automated
• Research and select appropriate automation tools and frameworks: This involves evaluating different automation tools and frameworks based on their capabilities, cost, and compatibility with the existing technology stack.
• Effectively communicate the benefits of automation testing to stakeholders, to secure the necessary resources and budget to implement and maintain automation testing.
• Define the change management process, for both people and business considerations.

Skills, knowledge, and experience

• Shows leadership qualities that can positively influence co-workers and contribute to the growth of Mable as a whole
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Good understanding of Git, Gitflow, and GitHub Actions.
• Always leave the code you are working on a little bit better than you found it.
• Experience in different open-source tools and technologies like Cypress, playwright, pact framework, postman, graphql, typescript, angular and BrowserStack
• Experience in testing various mobile frameworks
• Able to analyse changes and design test plans for functional and non-functional requirements
• Experience and understanding of shift left test approach and testing pyramid with distinct types of testing including unit, component, API, contract, and End-to-end testing
• Passion for quality and achieving team objectives
• Hands-on experience in building an API or UI automation framework from scratch
• Collaborate well with colleagues, respect diverse perspectives, and contribute positively to team dynamics
• Actively seeks to support and help others succeed
