Senior Backend Software Engineer - Global E-Commerce Supply Chain Billing & Settlement

The Global e-commerce Supply Chain team aims to improve customer experience with warehouse & supply chain technology, empower merchants to ease and expand their business worldwide with reliable and trustable fulfillment capabilities, so as to make more affordable and high-quality products sell easily and a better life within reach.

The Supply Chain Billing & Settlement team provides accurate and efficient billing and settlement solutions for the logistics and supply chain, including billing, settlement, reconciliation, payment, profit & loss, etc.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop efficient, highly scalable and secured services to build/integrate billing、settlement、 capital risk control systems for domestic and global TikTok Shop E-commerce
2. Optimize backend systems and services for data security, modularity, computational efficiency and scalability.
3. Deliver best-in-class engineering excellence practices across all product engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical background involving software/system engineering
2. Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as Go/Java/C++/C#/Python, exhibits good code design and coding style.
3. Deep understanding of data structure, algorithm design and analysis, networking, data security and highly scalable systems design.
4. Excellent proficiency in backend server development and familiarity with the principles and applications of databases, caches, and message queues

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in financial-related fields such as billing, settlement, reconciliation, or profit&loss management is a big plus

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $187040 - $280000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
