What to expect:
The Assistant General Manager – Hub Services is responsible for oversight of the Hub leadership team and the Hub’s overall operational performance. Additionally, the Assistant GM works collaboratively with the GM to lead the Hub employees while promoting a safe, caring, dependable and efficient work environment. The Assistant GM will ensure employee compliance with all safety and quality standards established by United Ground Express, United Airlines, and any regulatory authorities.

- Lead the Hub team in achieving operational performance goals within a safe and caring environment.
- Provide direction to the management team to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained while delivering a superior level of customer service.
- Proactively build and maintain a positive work environment, demonstrate effective employee relations, and establish collaborative relationships among the leadership team and the frontline employees.
- Responsible for overseeing the completion of operational compliance, audits, financial reporting and budgeting.
- Consistently model a calm and professional demeanor during periods of high volume or irregular operations.
- Provide direction to achieve or exceed performance and quality standards and coach for correction and improvements when necessary.
- Work with the Business Administration Manager to provide oversight on the scheduling of employees to ensure proper staffing levels to achieve or exceed performance goals and monitors changes in staffing levels.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all employees are properly trained and understand their assigned duties.
- Ensure that all employees in the work environment operates in a safe, caring, dependable and efficient manner at all times.
- Provide oversight to leadership team in that all injuries, incidents, accidents, and/or customer service issues are properly documented and corrected.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and customer service quality standards and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you will bring:
Required Experience, Qualifications & Skills:
- College Degree or equivalent work experience required
- Experience managing a large and dynamic operation preferably in an airline or airline partner environment.
- Experience managing management employees.
- Ability to manage airport operations independently.
- Demonstrates a calm and professional demeanor during periods of high volume or irregular operations.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced operational environment.
- Analytical thinking, goal-directed leadership and service-oriented performance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and drive for excellence.
- Organization and planning skills.
- Must possess and maintain a valid US state driver's license. (Suspended, expired, revoked or denied licenses are not valid.)
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coach others.
- Flexible schedule availability to provide oversight to a 24 hour per day 7 days per week operation including weekends and holidays.
- MS Office application proficiency.
