Position Summary
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing a full range of accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll reporting and human resources. Perform month end closing work, account reconciliations, and profit statement reporting to management. Safeguard company assets, and provide data and fiscal support to other departments within the company.
This role will pay a salary of $70,000 to $75,000.

About the Venue
Acrisure Arena is located in the heart of the Coachella Valley on 43.35 acres of land at I-10 and Cook Street, land owned by the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation. The project is privately funded at no risk to Riverside County taxpayers.
The arena is more than 300,000 square feet and features more than 11,000 seats, of which modern suites and four premium hospitality clubs are available only to 920 Premium Seats and Suite ticket holders.
Acrisure Arena is the home of the Seattle Kraken’s American Hockey League (AHL) team, Coachella Valley Firebirds, and includes an adjoining community ice skating facility that serves as a year-round community gathering space and the training center for the CV Firebirds.
Responsibilities
- Perform all general accounting functions including general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Oversee submission of biweekly payroll to corporate Finance Department for processing. Includes preparing timely payroll expense reports, event and labor cost summaries. Oversee benefits calculations and recording; payroll journal entries.
- Coordination of traveling team timesheets and wage transfers.
- Process new employee onboarding for home facility and traveling manager team. This includes the coordination of jobs fairs.
- Supervise, direct and develop the Special Projects Admin.
- Prepare event settlements and sales reports.
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Office supply and special project orders.
- Maintain strict confidentiality on highly sensitive private and/or proprietary information, without exception.
- Assist Finance Director with budget preparation, and financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts or Sciences in Accounting or Finance preferred; no certification required.
- Minimum 4 years in an accounting position showing increasing levels of employee oversight and responsibility.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of management experience.
- Verifiable knowledge of payroll and tax issues; basic knowledge of employment law as it applies to payroll.
- May require working beyond normal business hours, including nights, weekends and holidays based on event calendar.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work well with all levels of management.
