Sr. Director, Learning and Development

We are seeking a Senior Director of Learning and Development for our client to lead our training and development initiatives. This role is crucial in supporting our growth, enhancing our team's capabilities, and maintaining our reputation for excellence in service. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic vision for the learning and development function and a hands-on approach to implement high-impact training programs.
This is a Miami (Wynwood) based role, with company-covered travel around the Miami-Dade area as needed. A few days per week in-office is mandatory. Our client offers strong relocation packages should you be open to it! 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives.
• Lead the creation and implementation of innovative training programs that meet the needs of employees at all levels, from frontline staff to management.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with department leaders to identify training needs and develop customized programs.
• Manage the Learning and Development team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality training materials and sessions.
• Oversee the budget for the Learning and Development department.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in training and development, incorporating new ideas to enhance learning experiences.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and development across the organization.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred but not essential. 
•  8+ years in a direct Learning + Development role / capacity; 5+ years of progressive experience in L&D leadership.  
•  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Organizational Psychology or relevant field. Master's preferred.  
•  In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including content creation, workshops, simulations, e-learning and coaching). Experience with Articulate 360 is a plus.  
•  Experience organizing training activities in a corporate environment, ideally within industries such as retail, automotive services, hospitality and/or food & beverage.  
•  5+ years hands-on experience with project management and budgeting.  
• Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS). UKG experience a major plus! 
• Multi-unit / Multi-site location experience is essential.  
•  Ability to travel within Florida 50% and <15% within the United States required.
