Position Overview
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for driving new business growth around patient engagement offerings that leverage DrFirst's unique market position to deliver better outcomes. This role focuses on engaging patients in real-time with reliable, relevant, personalized, and actionable tools that educate, reduce costs, and facilitate participation. The Director will contribute to the emerging business unit by developing and selling digital media programs to pharmaceutical manufacturers and third-party media agencies. This individual will work closely with senior leadership on execution of strategy and collaborate with existing customers to maintain and grow relationships.
The Director will be responsible for identifying key stakeholders at target organizations and building productive relationships to drive revenue growth for the company.

What you will work on
- Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical industry while maintaining and growing existing accounts
- Manage and qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion to pipeline opportunities
- Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and revenue targets for designated accounts and territories
- Create and maintain strategic account plans with guidance from senior leadership
- Execute sales strategies, pricing discussions, and deal negotiations to achieve assigned objectives
- Engage with clients using a consultative approach to understand their business needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Collaborate with team members and product development to identify opportunities for new solutions
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and provide regular updates to sales management through SalesForce CRM
- Support broader Consumer Solutions team initiatives and coordinate with other DrFirst teams to present integrated solutions
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 5-8 years of sales, business development, or account management experience in healthcare technology (pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience managing and developing client relationships at multiple organizational levels
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (mobile, web, social media)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to deliver compelling presentations
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales forecasting tools
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders from operational to director level
