Insurance Intern – Claims & Underwriting

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our Claims and Underwriting team. This internship offers valuable exposure to core insurance functions, including claims processing, risk assessment, policy review, and data analysis. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, ready to contribute, and interested in exploring a future career in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with reviewing and analyzing insurance claims and underwriting files.
  • Support the team in gathering and verifying documentation for claims and policy applications.
  • Help assess risk factors and contribute to the underwriting decision-making process.
  • Participate in the preparation of reports, summaries, and policy documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct industry research and competitor analysis as needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks to support departmental operations.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Team player with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
