Job Description

  • Promotes a safe work environment.
  • Follow production and control standards.
  • Highly involved in production control activities that contributes to meeting quality, OTD, TAT, pitch performance, and other business goal requirements (e.g. WIP inventory, maintenance, planning and scheduling, allocate production resources to mitigate risks etc.).
  • Shows an ability to lead and communicate effectively to personal throughout the organization and as a positive role model, mentor and coach to production staff.
  • Assist Production supervisors in evaluating shift performance and perform actions that will address deficiencies.
  • Work with engineering/quality to process holds back into production including RCCA, processing change requests, training, rework, etc.
  • Understands equipment used in multiple areas including preventative maintenance and the impact it will on production deliverables.
  • Ensure materials and supplies are available when required to execute daily plans.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow, enforce and support 5S principles.
  • Ensure compliance to standards (QCPs, quality alerts, policies and procedures, etc.) relating to all production activities.
  • Assist in providing adequate/continuous training for the operations assigned to them as directed by the Production Supervisor.
  • Ensures company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality including willingness to work overtime as business demands require including weekends and holidays.
  • Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
  • Ability to fill temporary voids as an operator to ensure proper flow of hardware through multiple processes. 
  • Perform administrative tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor.  
  • Perform other tasks in the facility as required by Management

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving and leadership ability.
  • Practical knowledge of aircraft components as well as machining, welding, brazing, blending, masking, plating, coating/vacuum furnaces, inspection and related disciplines as it pertains to the assigned business area.
  • Ability to accurately interpret specifications and/or work in-process documents.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer programs such as ERP systems, Microsoft excel, word etc.
  • Must be fluent in English, i.e. speaking, reading, writing – overall communication.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • FAA Repairman’s Certificate or the ability to attain within 6 months or less upon position effective date.
