Do you want to help shape the future of innovative & sustainable aviation in Norway? This is a unique opportunity to join Bristow and to maintain the brand new, fully electric BETA Technologies Alia CTOL aircraft in the Zero and Low Emission Aviation Test Arena

The eCTOL Technician will be part of a small team of personnel dedicated to supporting eCTOL flights on the Beta Technologies CX300 Alia aircraft under the requirements of an FAA issued Special Airworthiness Certificate and Norwegian issued permissions within the Zero and Low Emission Test Arena.

This temporary role will be based in Stavanger, Norway for 8 months, commencing in June / July 2025, with training  being carried out at the Beta Technologies facilities in Vermont, USA.

The Test Arena aims to demonstrate the suitability of eCTOL aircraft to integrate into current infrastructure and air operations. It will be based on a cargo use-case and will operate flight routes between Stavanger and Bergen, during both day and night and VFR & IFR conditions.

Key tasks:

Technical Operations:

  • Carry out engineering and maintenance activities on the Beta Alia eCTOL aircraft to achieve the deliverables of the Test Arena project plan

  • Ensure that maintenance is conducted in accordance with OEM issued processes and procedures

  • Assist in the development of relevant technical procedures and manual

 Safety & Compliance:

  • Assist in the development of relevant risk assessments and operational safety case

  • Maintaining familiarity with relevant EASA & FAA legislation and agreed aviation practices and procedures

  • Observation, maintenance, and compliance of Company SOP’s

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with flight operations, ground operations and other departments to ensure alignment

  • Be able to present effectively to VIP visitors, senior company personnel, regulators and others on the progress of the Test Arena operation

Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to work in Norway and European Union states

  • Ideally hold an FAA-issued A&P licence

  • Alternatively hold an EASA B1 and B2 category licence

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a licenced engineer

  • Strong understanding of electrical principles and troubleshooting 

  • Composites experience 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
