The Director of Employment Services will direct and manage the overall operations of employment services for Lumibility. They will ensure operations are in compliance with agency policies and all regulatory requirements, promote community awareness of agency services, and ensure the development and implementation of employment activities that are person centered and promote positive outcomes for persons served.

Job Type: full-time, salaried/exempt

Salary: starting at $80,000 annually

Location: North Haven, with travel required to Madison/Westbrook/community sites as needed

Essential Functions (not limited to):

• Direct all aspects of transitional and employment services, both administrative and service delivery.
• Create and negotiate employment contracts, develop quality standards for jobs, and manage quality control issues with employer and Program Managers.
• Assist the Senior Director in the assessment, development and implementation of innovative programs to address the spectrum of participant employment needs.
• Ensure personnel needs of assigned area are met through effective hiring, training, evaluation, scheduling and supervision of staff.
• Review & monitor the quality of Individual Service Plans (IP) and outcomes to ensure the employment needs of persons served are met and employment services meet waiver requirements.
• Assist the agency in meeting the financial objectives by developing budgets, monitoring program revenue and expenses and overseeing the use of funds to assure that program’s fiscal stability and budget performance.
• Develop and implement program Policies and Procedures to assure regulatory compliance and best practices.
• Compile and analyze data to identify trends. Ensure maintenance and timely completion of all required and requested reports.
• Actively participate in activities that promote community awareness, including public speaking and representing the agency in organizations and organizational committees.

Requirements

• BA from accredited college or university in related field required. MA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory and management experience required.
• Clinical or academic background in the field of intellectual and other disabilities strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership, forge community partnerships and build positive coalitions.
• Creative problem solving and strong communication skills necessary.
• Must be over 21 and possess a valid Connecticut driver’s license, have an acceptable driving history and be able to utilize your own vehicle for Lumibility business as defined by Lumibility’s policy.
• Must have internet access, cell phone, and reliable transportation.

Required Physical Effort:

Must be able to sit, stand and walk at an assigned location(s) and work for extended periods of time; bend/stoop, kneel and balance frequently; climb, reach above shoulder level; push/pull, squat and crouch occasionally; with assistance, lift, carry and position individuals of various weight. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to drive for extended periods throughout the day. Lumibility’s offices, facilities, grounds and vehicles are smoke-free environments.
