Role Overview: This is a hands-on role that results in the delivery of an application or service. You will be responsible for translating core architecture for business requirements into the final technical solution, which consists of platform, network, software, cloud, etc. This involves functional, performance, and reliability analysis using engineering models and techniques, primarily through software development across the vertical stack.
Primary Responsibilities:
Review and Validate Technical Specifications
Critically evaluate architecture and design documents to ensure alignment with business objectives, scalability, and maintainability.
Question assumptions, dependencies, and edge cases in technical specs.
Come up with specific NFR s related to Performance, security and compliance standards.
Challenge and Improve Implementation Approaches
Inspect code and system implementations to validate adherence to specifications, performance expectations, and security standards.
Offer alternative solutions or optimizations based on best practices and emerging technologies.
Ensure Technical Accuracy and Feasibility
Verify that proposed solutions are technically sound, feasible at scale, and resilient under stress.
Assess risks in implementation strategies and raise red flags early in the development lifecycle.
Conduct Design and Code Reviews
Lead peer design and code reviews with IDP/Amdocs/Digital teams, guiding teams to follow architectural standards, improve quality, and avoid common pitfalls.
Drive a culture of constructive questioning and continuous improvement.
Drive Consistency Across all Teams
Ensure uniformity in implementation patterns and technical documentation across teams and projects.
Promote use of reusable patterns, libraries, and frameworks.
Collaborate with System Architects and Stakeholders
Act as a bridge between architecture and engineering teams, ensuring that specs are both technically thorough and practically implementable.
Qualifications:
Experience: 8+ years of system engineering experience and architecture. Experience working on large-scale complex systems is essential.

Scripting and Automation: Unix scripting
Project Management Tools: Jira
Certification: SAFe Architect certificate.
Education: Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience.
