Strategic & Technical Leadership

  • Set and execute the Aero engineering strategy across ITR, design, validation, services and repair, aligned with Product Line and Gas Power priorities.
  • Own flange‑to‑flange system integration and configuration control for Aero gas turbines and packages across the full lifecycle.
  • Define and drive multi‑year technology and product roadmaps, including component industrialization and new repair / service offerings.
  • Deliver additional margin, established from our Long-term Strategy through parts, repair, and performance through allowance of new GEA agreement on design authority.

ITR, Execution & Lifecycle Performance

  • Lead engineering for bids and tenders, including solution architecture, risk assessment and technical governance, ensuring competitive, executable offerings.

  • Direct fleet support: RCAs, corrective actions, proactive monitoring, and reliability/availability strategies for Aero units in the field.
  • Reduce customer escapes by 50% and improve first-pass yield to 95%.

Services, Repair & IP Strategy

  • Lead the technical strategy and execution for repair and spare parts industrialization of key components acquired from Aerospace.
  • Prioritize high‑value repair opportunities, oversee development and qualification, and drive deployment to the global fleet.
  • Serve as the engineering focal point for Aerospace IP interfaces, balancing new unit collaboration with expanded independence in services and repair.

Cross‑Business & External Influence

  • Partner closely with Aero Product Line, Aero Alliance JV, Aviation/Aerospace, Baker Hughes, Project Management, Supply Chain and Services to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Represent Aero Engineering in senior customer engagements, major deals, and critical issue resolution, shaping customer perception of GE Vernova’s technical leadership.
  • Influence cross‑business decisions and agreements that impact the Aero portfolio and broader Vernova strategy.

Organizational Leadership & Governance

  • Lead a global, multi‑disciplinary engineering organization, setting vision, priorities, metrics and operating mechanisms.
  • Build a customer‑centric, high‑accountability culture focused on safety, technical excellence, speed and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and retain key talent; ensure robust succession, coaching and leadership development across teams.
  • Manage the Aero Engineering functional budget and key program investments; ensure compliance with engineering policies, standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of technical leadership, including leading multi‑disciplinary teams and large programs.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Established executive‑level leadership experience.
  • Recognized expert in Aeroderivative and/or Gas Turbine engineering with proven system‑level impact.
