About the role

As Director, Sales Finance, you will lead our National Grocery Sales Finance team. Acting as the key finance business partner, you will be responsible for creating a strategic vision along with the day-to-day delivery of company objectives. We are looking for top talent in the Chicago, IL region (may be open to individuals in other remote US locations) who want to be an integral part of the National Grocery Leadership Team.   

 

Working cross-functionally, you will get to collaborate with creative and innovative sales professionals. Together, you will drive strategy while building a vision for our future. You will play a key role in ensuring visibility into financial opportunities, integrity of our financial statements, and viable financial solutions for our in-market investment and execution.  

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Strategic Planning – Lead strategic planning and help define investment posture and key components of the strategic planning process. We are looking for someone with both a strategic mindset and the ability to work in the details.  
  • Direct Business Partnering  Partner closely with sales teams, category teams, and other functions. Providing financial visibility and analysis, you will influence decisions and provide a financial/business lens for the prioritization of investments.
  • Financial Management  Your financial acumen will drive our future with confidence. You will be responsible for leading special project work, financial modeling, and what if analyses to influence leaders/team members on prioritization of spend to deliver against financial targets. In addition, you will be a key contributor to the planning and forecast processes.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance/Business related field and/or significant related work experience. 
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Practical experience understanding the link between business issues and P&L/cash flow.
  • Pivots and large data manipulation ability.
  • Experience with SAP-specific financial planning systems is preferred.
  • CPG Experience with proficient knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other financial planning systems is a plus.
