Warehouse Assistant/Driver

Job Summary

Operates university vehicles, van or truck, to pick-up and deliver university supplies, materials and equipment, from various locations on Oahu as directed by the Supervisor of the department. Assists Manager in daily operation of the Campus Distribution Center, including reconciliations and reporting processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Driving to Honolulu and back.
• Unloading and inspection of materials picked up.
• Picking up all the supplies from vendors
• Interaction with vendors and suppliers.
• Represent the University well at all times.
• Assist with the shipping and receiving operations on campus.
• Assist in training to students on how to operate the forklift.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills and Requirements

• Valid state of Hawaii Driver's License.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good driving record.
• Knowledge of the Honolulu area.
• Good Communication skills with the phone.
• Obey the traffic laws at all times.
• Represent the University well at all times.

Approximate starting hourly rate:

19.00 - 22.00
