Senior Application Developer

What does a successful Senior Application Developer do at Fiserv?

You will take a high-level strategy and work closely with the business and IT teams to develop an efficient and comprehensive solution to Fiserv web systems and business service layers that are efficient, flexible, maintainable, and compliant with all state and federal regulations.

What you will do:

• Run multiple projects concurrently and multi-task along with managing multiple organizational efforts
• Work with various solutions and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle
• Conduct code reviews and test plan reviews with other engineers to create high-quality, maintainable software
• Support architecture and conceptual design
• Perform requirements analysis, high-level design, detailed design, coding, unit testing, integration and system testing, and user and performance testing
• Recognize business needs, analyze requests, recommend solid technical solutions, and lead in delivering solutions

What you will need to have:

• 5+ years of experience in defining and developing high-volume, horizontally scalable architectures
• 5+ years of experience in developing applications using C#, .NET framework, .NET Core and MVC frameworks
• Experience with developing REST APIs and SOAP web services
• Experience working with structured data formats (e.g. XML and JSON)
• Experience integrating application security scanning and remediating vulnerabilities
• Experience working with projects requiring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Experience with Fiserv platforms and student loan servicing
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

• Experience with SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience with Splunk
• Experience with Bitbucket, Jira, and Jenkins
