Graduate Intern - Marketing
PicnicHealthAbout the role
Graduate Intern - Patient Recruitment Strategy
PicnicHealth has developed an application that can provide patients all their medical records in an organized and easy to understand manner. It leverages anonymized insights collected from the medical records in observational studies with the patients’ consent.
We are on a growth trajectory, quickly crossing the 40,000 patients threshold on our app. About 99% of our users consent to contribute their data to medical research. The changing nature of our research demands us to identify patients who are prescribed specific drugs and recruit them into our studies. Example, we might need to identify 1000 patients consuming prednisolone and request them to become PicnicHealth users and encourage them to donate their data.
We are looking for one graduate level intern to study the partnership landscape for drug-specific recruitment, and propose a go-to market strategy for partnership development. The role will span three months starting June 1st, 2023 after you’ve presented your landscape-analysis and proposed strategy to PicnicHealth’s user acquisition and executive teams.
As the Patient Recruitment Intern, you will be responsible for:
- Understanding PicnicHealth’s real-world data research and why we pursue observational studies on patients prescribed specific drugs
- Identify and interact with multiple healthcare organizations including but not limited to ‘omics companies, online pharmacies, telehealth platforms, consumer health platforms, clinical trial listing sites who could potentially have access to drug-specific audiences
- Develop a landscape analysis of all potential partners PicnicHealth can engage with to recruit patients on certain drugs, and rank order based on predictability, volume and costs (layout other considerations you discover during the process)
- Work closely with your project guide, peer mentor, and a cross-functional team of research scientists who are well versed in our studies and clinical trial recruitment
- Optionally, study DSPs like StackAdapt and AdTheorent to understand whether we can recruit drug-specific audiences
You are a great fit if you:
- Are currently a student of a graduate program (preferably MBA, MHA or MPH)
- Have strong consultative skills, is a hustler and can reach over the aisle to get things moving
- Is proactive at setting goals and managing one’s own work, and can keep the team informed
- Have had exposure to clinical trial recruitment or health tech user acquisition
- Understand the drug distribution landscape and are aware of how patients access that are not sold over the counter (e.g. through speciality pharma)
We expect all team members to be motivated to be amazing in their roles and, ultimately, to move the PicnicHealth mission forward.
